How to make gambas pil pil

Gambas al pil pil is a classic Spanish dish made with prawns cooked in olive oil, garlic, and red pepper flakes. Andalucian Olive Company's chili olive oil adds a delicious spicy twist to this traditional recipe. Here's how to make it: Ingredients:

  • 500g fresh prawns, peeled and deveined

  • 1/2 cup Andalucian Olive Company's chili olive oil

  • 5-6 garlic cloves, thinly sliced

  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes

  • Salt, to taste

  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Heat the chili olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

  2. Add the prawns to the skillet and season with salt. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and are cooked through.

  3. Remove the skillet from heat and let it rest for 2-3 minutes. This will allow the flavors to meld together.

  4. Serve the gambas pil pil hot, garnished with chopped parsley. Don't forget to serve some crusty bread on the side to soak up all the delicious sauce!

Tips:

  • Use fresh, high-quality prawns for the best flavor.

  • Adjust the amount of chili oil and red pepper flakes to your liking. If you prefer a milder version, use less.

  • Don't overcook the prawns, or they will become tough and rubbery.

  • The sauce is the star of the dish, so make sure to have plenty of bread to dip in it.

Enjoy your spicy gambas pil pil made with Andalucian Olive Company's chili olive oil!
